Air Source Heat pump technology has been used around the world for decades and the technology has developed to produce one of the most advanced, efficient heating systems available today. An air source heat pump absorbs heat from the air via an outdoor heat pump unit (The outdoor unit is similar in size and looks to an outdoor air conditioning unit that you see on buildings) and it can be installed anywhere on or near your property, up to 50 mtrs away. This heat can then be used to warm radiators, underfloor heating systems, warm air convectors and hot water tanks etc. One of the other major benefits of installing a heat pump is there is no landlord gas safety checks required each year and no risk of exposure to Co2 from a heat pump.
